We are looking for a full-time Producer to oversee the entire lifecycle of new and existing podcasts—from concept development to recording, editing, and distribution. About the Role
As a Podcast Producer, you will manage the creative and logistical aspects of multiple shows within our network. You’ll work closely with hosts, editors, and marketing teams to ensure high-quality production, engaging content, and smooth distribution across platforms. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, creative vision, and strong project management skills.
Responsibilities
Develop & Launch New Shows: Take podcast concepts from ideation to execution, including format development, episode structure, and branding.
Manage Existing Podcasts: Oversee production schedules, recording sessions, and content strategy for ongoing shows.
Coordinate with Hosts & Guests: Work closely with podcast hosts, book guests, and ensure smooth recordings.
Direct & Oversee Editing: Collaborate with editors and talent to ensure top-notch audio and video quality with engaging storytelling while addressing client notes.
Content & Creative Development: Assist in scripting, episode planning, and structuring conversations to maximize engagement through the show’s creative.
Setup & Manage Production Equipment: Handle video and audio recording setups, including cameras, lighting, and microphones.
Marketing Asset Creation: Help ideate and create thumbnails and episode/social media titles
Upload & Manage Distribution: Ensure episodes and socials are properly formatted, uploaded, and distributed across all major platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, etc.).
Monitor Performance: Track podcast analytics, listener feedback, and trends to refine content strategies.
Stay Up-to-Date on Trends: Keep an eye on podcasting trends, industry shifts, and best practices to keep our shows fresh and competitive.
Qualifications
Proven experience producing podcasts or managing audio/video content.
Strong knowledge of podcasting tools and software is a plus (Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Riverside.fm, Descript, or similar).
Experience with camera setup and operation (GH1 & similar cameras).
Strong audio production knowledge, including operation of recorders like the Zoom H6 or similar.
Understanding of proper lighting, framing, and multi-camera setups for podcast production.
Ability to lead projects from start to finish, balancing creative direction with logistical execution.
Strong editorial, talent relations and storytelling skills.
Experience managing production schedules, deadlines, and teams.
Familiarity with podcast hosting platforms and distribution channels.
