We’re looking for a talented and creative Social Media Editor to join our team and help grow our digital presence by creating engaging, funny, and viral content for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Facebook.

About the Role

As a Social Media Editor, you will be responsible for editing and optimizing video clips from our podcasts to maximize engagement on social media platforms. You should have a strong understanding of internet culture, trends, and digital media, with a keen eye for what makes content entertaining and shareable.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and format short-form video clips for social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Facebook).

  • Select the best, most engaging moments from podcast episodes to create the most engaging clips.

  • Add captions, sound effects, animations, and other enhancements to improve viewer engagement.

  • Stay up to date with social media trends, memes, and platform algorithm changes.

  • Collaborate with the team to develop content strategies that increase engagement and follower growth.

  • Schedule and post content while monitoring performance metrics.

  • Create thumbnails for YouTube

Qualifications

  • Experience editing and producing short-form content for social media.

  • Proficiency in video & photo editing software (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).

  • Strong understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.

  • A good sense of humor and the ability to craft entertaining, attention-grabbing content.

  • Ability to work on multiple shows and manage a high volume of content efficiently.

  • Knowledge of podcasting and digital media is a plus.
